Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about booking, queues, accounts, cancellations, and privacy.
What is Doctor My Number?
Doctor My Number is a technology platform for clinic booking and queue management. It lets patients of participating clinics book a digital token remotely, track their queue position from a phone or browser, and arrive when it's almost their turn.
How does Doctor My Number work?
Find a participating clinic, select a doctor, and book a digital token. The receptionist calls tokens in order, and you refresh the queue view to see where you stand. When your turn approaches, head to the clinic.
How do I book a token?
Open the patient portal, sign in, choose a clinic and doctor, check availability, and confirm — you'll receive a token number for that doctor's queue. A small convenience fee is charged per token from your wallet.
Do I need an account?
Browsing clinics, doctors, and public queue status doesn't require an account. Booking a token requires signing in so your bookings, wallet, and history stay linked to you.
Can I browse clinics without registering?
Yes — the clinic list, doctor lists, and current queue status are public and can be viewed without an account.
Do I need to install an app?
No. The patient portal runs in your browser — on phones, tablets, and computers.
Can I use Doctor My Number from a browser?
Yes — that's exactly how the portal works. Open it in any modern browser.
How do I track my queue?
Open the portal and refresh the queue view. You'll see the token currently being served and how many patients are ahead of you.
When should I reach the clinic?
Arrive when your turn approaches — queue information is an estimate and may change based on consultation time, emergencies, walk-ins, or clinic operations. Follow the clinic's instructions.
What happens if I miss my token?
If you're not present when your token is called, the receptionist can mark it as a no-show. A no-show counts as a used token — the convenience fee is not automatically refunded. Contact the clinic or support if you believe it was marked in error.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes — you can cancel a booked token before it's called. The convenience fee is refunded to your wallet in full. If your doctor becomes unavailable, booked tokens are cancelled automatically and refunded.
How do refunds work?
Refunds are automatic and go to your in-app wallet — the same wallet the token fee came from. Cancelling a booked token refunds the full convenience fee.
Can I book for someone else?
Tokens are tied to the account that books them. For family members, please use their own account or check with the clinic.
How do clinics join?
Submit an online clinic application. The owner account remains provisional until the team reviews and approves the clinic; submitting a form does not grant verified owner privileges.
Is my information protected?
We collect only what's needed to provide the service and protect it with authenticated access, rate limiting, and audit logging. We don't store medical records.
How can I contact support?
Use the contact page — categories include patient support, clinic enquiries, technical support, and privacy/data requests.
